ABFusing Workshop is a 2 hr workshop for 2-10 people to enjoy the shared experience of making something incredible entirely out of glass. This a perfect event to schedule with a date, as a party, as a work or family outing, or with a group of buddies. No experience with glass making is necessary! We'll provide all the glass, tools, and know-how you'll need to complete your choice of project with as much creativity as you wish!

In this 4hour single-day workshop you’ll learn about how to set-up a pot of glass to pull and play with as it drips out the bottom of a vitreograph kiln at over 1500*F! Short put set-up instruction starts at noon. After setting up your pots, you’ll have about an 1.5 hour break as the pots heat up. Around 3pm, we’ll start pulling glass and exploring techniques in manipulating molten glass for about 45min. You’ll leave with your glass the same day!

Experienced pullers can set-up a pot any day before their scheduled pull and just come in at 3pm. You’ll leave with your glass that same day! Don't know what this is about? Schedule a Vit Pull with an instructor and we'll walk you through it!

In this 2hour single-day workshop you’ll create custom glass art for all four panels of a lantern. No experience is required. This is a great class for family, friends, and co-workers who have never fused glass before. We'll have all the glass, tools, and know-how for you to unleash your creativity with the incredible material that is glass.

Do you have your own kiln? This 2hr private course covers the secrets of firing schedules (how to select which ones to use and adjust them to your specific needs), how kilns work, routine maintenance and trouble shooting, and basic repairs. Anything and everything you need to fully utilize your kiln!

We believe introductory classes are the most important ones that you'll ever take. Few studios anywhere will give you a better start at kiln formed glass than Helios. In our Foundations class we will teach you safety, basic fusing concepts, and the different kinds of glass that are available to the kiln glass artist. You will make "test" tiles, pendants or other small project, and a large final project.

We will be using fiber paper and the heat of the kiln as “carving tools” for the glass. It is a simple technique that has numerous variations with spectacular results and can be used with transparent and opaque glass. We will be discussing considerations in choosing designs that will be “kiln-carved” in the glass, creating a fiber paper template and firing the selected glass on top of it, effectively carving the glass.

In this new four-day workshop, students will learn how to mix and work with multiple colors of Modeling Glass to make two masks inspired by nature! We will be hand-sculpting as well as using silicone molds to make a variety of highly detailed components.
